The November 2024 update for Botco.ai introduces advanced tracking and referencing capabilities to improve communication and management efficiency. Key features include the generation of contact URLs for SMS interactions and robust audit logging for chatbot changes and deployments. These updates are designed to enhance transparency, streamline issue resolution, and provide better insights into chatbot management.

New Features and Improvements

1. Contact URLs for SMS Conversations

  • Contact URLs are now available for SMS conversations, allowing efficient referencing and sharing of specific interactions.
  • How to use:
    • Access the _contact_link for SMS conversations via the Botco app:app.botco.ai/contacts/${user_id}.
    • Use these links in direct communication (e.g., email) to enable customers or team members to review SMS interaction history seamlessly.

  • Empowers CX teams to resolve issues faster by providing quick access to specific SMS interactions.
  • Enhances the customer experience by allowing direct navigation to conversation histories.

2. Comprehensive Audit Tracking for Changes and Deployments

  • A new audit tracking system records changes made to the authoring tool and deployments.
  • How to use:
    • View all tracked changes, including:
      • Who made the change or deployment.
      • The associated chatbot ID, deployment ID, and account ID.
      • The time of the change (including date and time).
      • The block and group modified (for non-deployment changes).
      • The current and previous states of the modified elements, shown in a readable JSON format.
    • Deployment records also include a color-coded view based on deployment settings for easier identification.

Key Features:

  • Each deployment is assigned a color (linked to deployment settings) for clear visualization.
  • Dates include time stamps and offer additional details on hover.
  • Detailed JSON states can be expanded for a full view of changes.

Benefits:

  • Enables larger customers to track all chatbot modifications and deployments with transparency.
  • Improves accountability and helps teams coordinate more effectively during chatbot updates.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where SMS messages were not being logged consistently in certain environments.
  • Fixed visual glitches in audit tracking displays when multiple changes occurred simultaneously.
  • Improved system performance for deployments involving large chatbots with numerous blocks.

Known Issues

  • In rare cases, audit tracking may not display color codes correctly for deployments. A fix is planned for the next release.
  • SMS contact links may occasionally load slower than expected when accessing large conversation histories.
