1. Automated PHI Data Masking

  • Administrators can now activate automated masking of PHI (Protected Health Information) across chatbot deployments, ensuring HIPAA compliance with minimal manual effort.

    • Navigate to chatbot deployment settings and toggle the PHI masking feature.
    • The chatbot will automatically detect and replace sensitive PHI data during interactions, enhancing privacy and reducing legal risks.

2. Pulsing Animation for Chat Widget

  • A new pulsing animation draws attention to the chat widget, increasing user interaction rates and engagement.
  • How to use:
    • Add the pulseAnimation property to the BotcoWebchat embed code. Example:

    • Select and rearrange key metrics on the dashboard.
    • Save filters and preferences for personalized reporting.
    • View multiple trends side-by-side without the need to scroll, making data analysis more efficient.

4. Clickable Links in InstaStack Responses

  • URLs and phone numbers in InstaStack chatbot responses are now rendered as clickable links for better usability.
  • How to use:
    • URLs and phone numbers will automatically appear as clickable in chatbot responses. Example:If you have any questions, visit https://chat.nyc.gov.

5. Debugging Tools in Webchat Preview

  • A new debug mode in the webchat client allows developers to track block transitions and timestamps during testing.
  • How to use:
    • Add &debug=true to the webchat preview URL.
    • The left panel will display active and previous blocks with their corresponding timestamps, making it easier to identify and resolve issues during chatbot development.

6. Error Handling in Set AI Cards

  • Improved error handling with configurable fallback options for failed responses.
  • How to use:
    • Configure the “On Error” dropdown to define fallback actions for 400 and 500 errors during AI card executions.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed inconsistencies in form validation for better user experience.
  • Addressed minor glitches in the dashboard’s metric visualization.
